District 57 All-Star Team Specific Information
GLL has District All-Star teams for the following groups:
12 year olds in Majors
11 year olds in Majors
10 year olds in AAA
We also have a Local All-Star Team for the following groups:
The District and Local All-Star teams are intended to represent the top players, as recognized by their managers, coaches and peers, to put together a competitive team to play in postseason play. In order to achieve the best opportunity for success, teams will be age pure for each group. Each team will consist of 1 Manager and 2 Coaches. Each team will have 12 players, based on the outcome of voting.
Being selected for District All-Stars is a great honor, but it also requires a significant commitment and may impact summer vacation plans. When players cannot follow through on this commitment, it can be highly disruptive and disappointing to both managers and teammates. Baseball is a team sport, and full participation in all practices and games throughout the All-Star season is essential.

GLL Summer Tournament Teams (Ages 9–12)
We’re excited to invite league-age 9–12 players from AA to Majors to continue their baseball season with GLL’s Summer Tournament Teams. There are three levels of play available: District 57 All-Stars, Gold, and Black Teams.
District 57 All-Stars / Gold Teams:
These Summer Tournament Teams are intended to represent GLL’s top players, as recognized by their managers, coaches, and peers in competitive post-season Tournament Play. These teams will typically have 12 players, based on the outcome of voting. It’s an honor for players to be selected to these teams and represent GLL in tournament play.
Black Tournament Teams
These are sign-up based with no evaluations or selection process. Teams are formed by league age, depending on sign-ups and coach availability. Multiple teams per age group may be formed if numbers allow. The intent is to offer an outlet for all players that want to experience tournament play while continuing to build their skills over the summer.
Competition
All teams will compete in local, multi-day tournaments within District 57
Some travel is required along 580/680 corridor
10s will play teams that played AAA
